작가의 작품은 일상생활에서 사용하는 하찮은 사물(케이크, 김밥, 단추) 등을 모티브로 하여, 대리석으로 정성껏 작업하여 재현하고 다시 일상에 내보낸다. 그러면 그 사물의 원래의 기능성은 사라지고, 보는 이에 따라 다양하게 해석될 수 있는 작업으로 환원된다.

<단추 (짝수의 삶)>은 오브제 작업 중 단추를 주제로 한 메타포 작업이다. 서소문동 조형물의 연작이며, 단추 써클을 삶으로 인식하고, 단추의 모양을 각기 다르게 하여 각기 다른 삶을 살아가는 인간 군상을 은유적으로 표현한다. ‘짝수의 삶’이란 불안하고 불안정한 홀수의 삶이 아닌 긍정적이고 서로 돕고 의지하는 밝은 삶을 살자는 의미를 담고 있다. 광화문광장에는 한국을 상징하는 대표적인 조형물인 이순신 장군과 세종대왕의 기념비적 작업이 있다. 작가는 광화문광장 부근에도 자그마한 공간에 크기로 압도되는 작품이 아닌 걸으면서 편안하게 휴식과 감상을 할 수 있는 작품을 선보인다.

The artist’s work is based on the motifs of trivial objects (cakes, rice balls, buttons) used in everyday life, which he carefully recreates with marble and sends back to daily life. Then, the original functionality of the objects disappears and is restored to the works that can be interpreted in various ways depending on the viewer.

<Button (An Even Life)> is a metaphorical work with the theme of buttons among his object works. It is a series of Seosomun-dong sculptures that recognizes the button circle as life, and different shapes of buttons metaphorically represent a group of people living different lives. ‘An Even Life’ contains the meaning of living a positive and bright life where we help and rely on each other, rather than an anxious and unstable, odd life. In Gwanghwamun Square, there are monumental works of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and King Sejong the Great, which are representative sculptures that symbolize Korea. In a small space nearby Gwanghwamun Square, the artist also presents his works which are not overwhelming in size but can comfortably enjoyed while walking along.
