THEO는 그간 전통 회화의 문법으로 동시대 다양한 서사를 탐구해 온 박그림 작가의 개인전 '사사 四四'를 개최합니다. 약 2년 만에 개최되는 국내 개인전으로 그간 켜켜이 쌓인 서사적 레이어와 더욱 깊어진 작품세계를 만끽할 수 있는 장이 될 것입니다. 박그림 개인전 ‘사사 四四’는 단어 안에 서로 다른 의미가 있듯 작품에도 두 가지 의미를 담아내는 시도를 하여 이분법적 경계를 허물고자 하였으며, 불교의 윤회 사상을 전시장 자체에 담아내고자 한 전시입니다.
THEO presents a solo exhibition '44' by Grim Park, an artist who has been exploring various contemporary narratives using traditional painting techniques. This marks Grim Park's first solo exhibition in Korea in about two years. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the layers of narrative accumulated over the years and to delve deeper into the profound world of his work. Park's solo exhibition '44' attempts to break down the dichotomous boundaries by putting two meanings into the artwork, just as there are different meanings in a word, and the exhibition itself reflects the Buddhist idea of reincarnation.
