본 전시는 물질 만능주의가 만들어내는 신화 속에서 현대 사회의 물질적 가치관을 반성하고 진정한 자아를 찾는 과
정을 탐구하고 있는 세 작가의 작업을 선보인다. 미디어 이미지가 만들어내는 신화에 의해 가치가 결정되는 현대사회에서 우리는 신화 작동의 피해자로서 주체 상실을 경험하며 살아간다. 세 작가가 구사하는 서로 다른 조형 언어를 통해 잠시 잊고 있던 진정한 자아를 상기하고, 어쩌면 우리 또한 신화의 가담자는 아닌지 잠시 되돌아보는 계기가 되기를 기대한다. / This exhibition presents the works of three artists who explore the process of reflecting on the Imaterialistic values of modern society and finding one's true self amidst the myths created by materialism. In a lcontemporary society where values are determined by the myths created by media images, we Ive experiencing a floss of identity as victims of these myths. Through the different formative languages employed by the three artists, the exnibition hopes to remind us of our true selves, which we may have forgotten, and to provide an opportunity to reflect on whether we too are complicit in perpetuating these myths.
