2024년 한국문화예술위원회 창작산실 지원사업 전시로 마련된 이번 전시는 각자의 방법론으로 조각을 연구해온 한국 여성 조각가 16인의 재료 실험과 조형 방법론에 주목한다. ‘표현하는 재료’, ‘과정으로서의 물성’, ‘결과로서의 조형’이라는 기획 키워드에 부합하는 여러 세대 조각가들의 작품을 통해 신체와 마주하는 재료가 어떤 물성을 드러내며 조형되는지를 펼쳐 보인다.
The exhibition, part of the Korea Arts and Culture Council's Arko Selection in 2024, presents the exploration and experimentation of sixteen Korean female sculptors, each with their own unique approach to sculpture. Categorized under the themes "Expressive Materials," "Materiality as Processes," and "Form as Outcome," the exhibition features works by sculptors from various generations, illustrating how materials unveil their materialities and are shaped in accordance with the body.
