한진섭

한진섭 작가는 한국을 대표하는 돌 조각가로, 인간과 자연, 해학적 사유를 조형 언어로 풀어내는 작업을 꾸준히 이어오고 있다.

이번에 전시되는 <복덩이 가족>은 돼지가족이 행복과 복을 싣고 나들이 하는 모습을 표현한 작품이다. 다른 작품 <휴식>은 아빠, 엄마, 아기 가족이 벤치에 앉아서 이야기를 나누며 쉬고 있는 모습을 표현한 작품으로 한국적인 미가 돋보이는 작품이다.

한진섭(b.1956) 작가는 홍익대학교 조소과 학사와 대학원 석사를 졸업하고, 이탈리아 카라라 국립미술아카데미 조소과를 졸업했다. 서소문성지역사박물관(2024), 가나아트갤러리(2023) 등에서 개인전을 열었고 한진섭조각정원(2021), 중국총칭 조각공원(2017), 중국장춘 국제조각심포지엄(2017) 등 다양한 전시에 참여하였다. 또한, 이탈리아 까라라 국제조각 심포지움 대상, 프랑스 <디녜국제조각심포지엄> 3등상, 일본 하꼬네 야외미술관 주최 로뎅 대상전 우수상을 수상한 바 있다.

Jin-sub Han is Korea’s leading sculpture of stone. He is known for his exploration of the relationship between humans and nature, as well as playful contemplations.

Lucky Family portrays a happy family of pigs on an excursion. Rest portrays a father, mother, and child on a bench, resting and engaging in a cheerful conversation, in a style that highlights Korean aesthetics.

Jin-sub Han(b.1956) earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sculpture from Hongik University, and later graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara in Italy. He has held solo exhibitions at the Seosomun Shrine History Museum (2024) and Gana Art Gallery (2023), and participated in multiple exhibitions, including the Han Jin Sub Sculpture Garden (2021), Chongqing Sculpture Park in China (2017), and the Changchun International Sculpture Symposium in China (2017). He won the Grand Prize at the International Symposium of Sculpture in Carrara, Italy; the 3rd Prize at the International Symposium of Sculpture in Digne, France; and the Excellence Award at the Special Selection of Rodin hosted by the Hakone Open Air Gallery in Japan.
