ENTOPTIMA 는 Entoptic + Optima 의 합성으로 태어난 단어이다. Entoptic은 내부섬광 또는 내부시상이다.
그것은 우리가 아주 오래 전 빅뱅의 빛을 기억하는 아니 우리 모두에게 각인되어 있는 근원의 빛이다. 어쩌면 현대 과학에서 말하는 양자세계의 대부분의 물질을 구성하는 원자와 전자의 불확정적인 운동을 우리가 어떤 내부의 빛처럼 느끼는지도 모르겠다. 이러한 빛을 찾는 과정, 각인된 것을 외부로 전사하는 행위, 그것이 그림이다.
이 과정에서 필요한 것이 최적화(Optima)이다. 최적화를 한다는 것은 그림을 그림에 있어서 그림의 마음, 그 자체가 드러내는 것이다. 그 마음이 온 곳, 즉 아주 오래된 기억들을 꺼내는 과정이다. 우리가 바다 생물이었던 기억, 나무였던 기억, 땅이었던 기억, 물과 바람이었던 기억, 지구였던 기억, 그리고 태초의 빛의 기억일것이다.

From the reminiscence of the stars comes their nostalgia.
The act of painting, engraved and inscribed and shared by everyone, lies in the process of naturally recalling memories to consciousness. This act constitutes our being, our existential and efficient principle. Such an efficient principle, in fact an original expression predating human language and the invention of writing, is not only a means of communication, but also human existence itself, in other words, a perpetual narrative about life. Everything we classify as non-living is governed by an efficient and existential principle, and interacts with us, who are classed as living. In a never-ending cycle of change, the nonliving maintain a reciprocal relationship with us, through which they everberate.
Entoptic is an inner radiation or inner point of view. It is a reminiscence of the ancestral light of the Big Bang, or even the primordial light eternally present within us. Perhaps we feel with the image of inner light what contemporary science calls the indeterminate movement of atoms and electrons.
This process of searching for light, the act of externalizing and transcribing this intimate presence, is what painting is all about. Optima is required for this process. To optimize is to bring to light the being of painting, painting as painting. From this being, reminiscence consists in extracting ancestral memories. Reminiscence of us as water animals, trees, earth. water, wind, earth, the buried memories of original light. A plane attainable only by lowering ourselves to go back ever further into our origins.
