The butterflies, symbolic of hope and dreams, come together to form a single sphere in Dream – Sphere, representing how individual hopes and dreams come together to form a society. Just as removing a butterfly would destroy the sphere, society is also comprised of tightly connected individuals whose dreams and ideals exist within that organic connection.
Intae Kim (b. 1977) studied Art Education and Sculpture at Mokwon University and earned his master’s from the Department of Sculpture from Sungshin Women’s University’s Graduate School. He has held solo exhibitions at venues such as Pink Gallery (2022), the Capri Islands, Italy (2018, 2017), Hangaram Art Museum (2017), Artspace H (2015), and has participated in multiple group exhibitions and art fairs, including venues such as the Yesan COUNTY Culture and Art Center, Hangaram Art Museum, Chuncheon MBC, the International Sculpture Festa in Seoul, DIAF, and BAMA.
<Dream – Sphere>는 꿈과 희망을 상징하는 나비들이 모여 구체를 이루는 형상을 통해 개인의 소망이 모여 사회를 구성한다는 메시지를 전한다. 구를 이루는 나비 중 일부가 빠지면 전체의 형상이 무너지는 것처럼 사회 역시 서로 긴밀히 연결된 개인들로 구성되어 있으며 그 유기적 연결 속에 개인의 꿈과 이상이 존재함을 상징적으로 드러낸다.
김인태(b.1977) 작가는 목원대학교 미술교육과 조소를 전공하고 성신여자대학교 대학원에서 조소과 석사 학위를 받았다. 핑크갤러리(2022), 이탈리아 카프리(2018, 2017), 한가람미술관(2017), 아트스페이스 H(2015) 등에서 개인전을 개최했으며, 예산문화회관, 한가람미술관, 춘천MBC, 서울국제조각페스타, DIAF, BAMA 등 다수의 단체전과 아트페어에 참여했다.
